My Boring Day

It was a boring day. It is really a hot day till now in KL.
How to study under such condition? Especially math...
Thus I picked up my camera and started to play with it...
Trying to find certain "title" for the batch of photo series...
Then... just looked around... and grabbed anything I could reach...

Actually Lomography is really flexible and personal. Lomo is all about yourself.
No matter how you present, it merely shows the way of life you're trying to achieve.

Play a little tricks on your pictures are really fun and tricky...
Not so tough to get combination of these kinda picture...
Byt it was really difficult to persuade your own "Model" to make and stay on those position...

Searching My Direction

Its kinda busy recently although there're no more reports nor assignments to do and submit. Just that the examination season is rather around the corner -- early May.

I wandered around the web, probing blog to blog... I have no idea on my "blog world" expedition...
Just to observe the others... observe what is happening around the others...

Then I started to think deeply...
Why am I here? And I found out, that, I lost my coordinate... I lost my direction... The time is the prime reason?

I looked at the clock on the wall... 5 a.m. I lost my sleeping hours... The coffee is the prime reason...

I get the DC back from my bro... I need it as my compass... maybe...
I wonder... What I really need? What I really want?

No idea. Lets figure it out? Maybe not now... not 5 a.m. morning...

Lomo Attempt (2)

Now what? New movie Face/Off by John Travolta and Nicolas Cage?
Nah... this is a better one -- Face/Out...

This one used the same tactic as mentioned in Lomo Attempt 1.. But instead of using just one colour as your light source, this one uses Two!
The "orange brown" light gives a more natural background, while the "white and pale blue" light present a more impact effect...

Malaysian Mentality

You are a 3rd World Country
(A gentle reminder to all Malaysians)

Progress is not solely about prosperity
Nor buildings that look pretty
You may have the KLCC
But some places like Penang are still dirty
So you are still a 3rd world country because of your mentality

You try to beat the queue to get a taxi
And don't even bother about road courtesy
Not to mention parking indiscriminately
Without signalling you overtake randomly
And abusing lanes for emergency
Rising deaths on the roads is how u celebrate festivity

You created the MSC
To emulate Silicon Valley
You talk about high technology
To preach about the PC
But yet broadband is denied to many

You also can't supply stable electricity
Your roads have potholes and are bumpy
And tyres fall off your LRT
So this is Malaysian quality

Let's create the best schools, roads and toilets in the country
Are what Malaysia Boleh should strive to be
But instead Malaysia Boleh is so funny

You break records just to make yourself feel happy
Decades passed but this mentality I still see
Will this carry on till the next century?
Or will this change when we turn 80?

You are helpless and just let it be
Let it be
Will tomorrow be better for you and me?
15 years from now come 2020
if this goes on you will still be

What Troubles Me Lately

Troubles always exist in our daily life. Some are tough and some had become norm.

And I am recently troubled by 2 things --- "0" and "1"




oh binary! please spare my energy, effort and insufficient time....

Lomo Attempt (1)

Hmmm.. i prefer you don't ask me "WHAT" is this...
But you can choose some other questions like... "who" is this and "how" is this done?

Who is this?
Me la who else will do so hilarious faces and snap something stupid like this?

How is this done?
Not really difficult...
First of all... of course you need to have a camera... a "not-bad" one... dslr is preferable...
or maybe you check whether your camera have those PASM stuff that you can adjust the aperture, speed, exposure..etc...
Then, you need have a flash or torch light and a camera stand or tripod for your camera...
that's all the items u needed...

After that, get yourself into a DARK room...
Setup the camera on the tripod and focus and roughly memorize the borderline of the camera will shoot.
Set the exposure meter to MAX (the one like 1/1000 stuff... set up a few seconds like 15" or even better to infinity)
Click on the shuttle... get into position... and flash yourself once using your torch (just turn your torch on and off, that will be enough)...
get into second position... flash again... and repeat...

Try this yourself and you will find the amazing lomo you did...

Someone somehow asked me what is this?
I told them its a name, combination of dave and 3 letters of my chinese name.

Why dave then?
It merely because sometime ago a foreigner thought that I was his friend and called the wrong person...

somehow, someday, some weird dialogue happened...

SF: Hey dave... who gave you this english name anyway?
Me: A Guai Lou (foreigner) la... (thought to tell the story)
SF: ***stood at me a while*** How about your chinese name?
Me: My Lou Mou (mother) lo...
SF: Oh... I thought you wanna say Zhong Kok Lou (Chinese Man)
Me: *** stood at him a while***

Ok... this is a lame one...

UNIM on Fire!!! ( Day 3 )

I went to UNIM and found DARK inside.
However, we're allowed to go in now.
No lift, dim light, no air condition, and... no class...
Oh there is a class anyway... 2pm.. i look at my watch... it was 20minutes to 10am...

Chatting around inside with some friends. Gossiping around.
Go back la. Boring.

UNIM on Fire!!! ( Day 2 )

I received a sms early in the morning -- UNIM on Blackout due to the burn out in the sub power station yesterday. It would probably cancels all classes again today.

I really hope things get well soon, since staying at home is not so productive for me in preparing my examination helding next month.

UNIM on Fire!!!

It was an ordinary morning, raining drip-drop and cool temperature outside.
It was another typical traffic jam on my way to university, driving up and down the sidewalk for a faster path.
But something is not normal when I received my friend's sms.

"UNIM on FIRE!"

It probably won't have any class later so he asked me to go back home. But I am half way there. Instead of going back home straight, I turned to have a look on my uni.

A firefighters machine is in there, and a few of "ahli bomba" are at the basement, discussing something. I bet they're discussing their ruined breakfast anyway. Hmmm.. I have an awful brain here...

Really unfortunate that I didn't have any camera with me. So I asked my friends who have a powerful integrated camera in handphone to snap some shots for me.
I'll post up the pic when I receive the pic later.

Chatting around outside with some friends. Gossiping around.
Go back la. Boring.

The far cry Ambitions

I remember when we're kids, we like to think about everything about future.
During primary, we started to have a chance to think of our ambition, that we were asked to fill in 3 stupid slots of the occupation we wanna achieve when we're adults.

Since then,
when I was sick, I will wish to be a doctor, that cure everyone in illness;
when I was playing simcity, I shall probably wanna be a Mayor;
when I saw someone can debate so well,a lawyer in court would be my choice;
when I admired on those highrise building, I'd certainly wanna be an architecturer;
when I watched a nice movie, I really do wish that I am the actor, or maybe the director of it;
when I played too much pc games, I wish I can forever playing games as a game tester;
when I read a nice article, I imagine that I am a writer with lots of published book;
when I enjoy a frame of drawing, I shall wish to have my own art exhibition;
when I read the bond and stock in the newspaper, I will hope that I have enough money to be a big investor;

Years after years.. the far cry ambition fades...
And now I am only an ordinary student, a boring engineering student, which always need to explain the glossary of "Mechatronics".

I heard some news of my Mechatronics seniors, that some become engineer of course, some just become lecturer conducting class in college, some even become a chef in some well-known hotel...

it is really weird to live in a strange world like what we're living now...

I just cut out a few full long paragraphs as i think i wrong something stupid and blur... haha...
anyway, cheers...

Growing Gmail

Hmmmm... just found out the gmail storage is growing fast... temporary 1.75G in my mailbox.
Something more interesting is the invitations increase as well, from ordinary 3 to a total of 50.
Today is the eve of Gmail's one-year birthday, I wish... it isn't an "April Fool" of the year!
